Technically he doesn’t have any but makes up for it with his ability to find them.
I’m amazed as what he can pull out of the bushes. Yesterday morning we were walking along and he dug his way into a large area of bushes . I thought he was on the scent of an animal when out he pops with a baseball in his mouth. He was so excited. He ran and pounced throwing the ball up in the air and then chasing it. Now he’s very possessive of his balls, as most males are, and protected it with his paws so I couldn’t take it from him. It took all of about an hour for him to TOTALLY demolish the ball, removing the outer skin and working the inside. I took the ball (or what remained) when he wasn’t looking and threw it away. Of course, next time he left the MH he went looking for that treasured ball.
Later in the afternoon we were walking in a different area and once again he dug his way into a very large bushy area. Only the tip of his tail was showing. Out he pops with a lacrosse ball in his mouth. He was thrilled, threw it up in the air and chased it. Since the sites around us are not occupied I took him off his leash and he ran and played with the ball. Now I know the kinds of balls he needs …. Lacrosse balls. They are very hard and he can’t tear into them the way he can tennis balls (takes about 3 hours on those) and baseballs (takes about an hour).
He’s a happy dog and it’s almost his birthday.
ONE YEAR OLD JUNE 10TH.
